A man drowned today after falling out of his boat while fishing at Caesar Creek Lake, according to the Warren County Coroner.
No foul play is suspected in the drowning, said Dr. Russell Uptegrove, Warren County Coroner.
Two witnesses saw the man fall from the boat around 10:30 a.m. near the Old Mound bike trail, Uptegrove said. It was not clear if the man fell into the lake because of some kind of medical issue or lost his balance and fell in, Uptegrove said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after attempts to revive him with CPR were unsuccessful. A man on another boat told News Center 7 he saw the man face down in the water and pulled him onto shore where he performed CPR until medics arrived. He had earlier witnessed the man driving his boat into a cove, an area he said is dangerous to be in with the boat's motor on.
The man’s body is being transported to the Miami Valley Crime Center for an autopsy.
Officials are not releasing the name of the deceased man until his next of kin can be notified.

An east Dayton family made it out of their home safely after a fire started in the house's attic Friday morning.
Fire crews responded to the 300 block of Great Oaks Drive at about 9:30 after an attic fan sparked a fire. A man, woman and their toddler evacuated the house before any of them were hurt, the Dayton Fire Department said.
Crews were able to control the fire quickly, and more damage to the home was caused during the response than done by the flames, the Dayton Fire Department said.
No firefighters were hurt during the response.
